Systems Engineer (f/m)
We are looking for a Systems Engineer within our engineering team who would like to be part of the future development of our products. We are aiming to constantly be in the forefront of our product areas. The position is based in Wolfsburg, Germany, where you will work as a Resident Engineer at customer site and in our office. Another possibility would be to be permanently based in Hallbergmoos near Munich and to travel three to four days per week to Wolfsburg. You will be the main technical interface between our customer in Germany and the development team in Sweden and report to the Systems Engineering Manager, currently located in Mullsjö, Sweden.
Main objectives and areas of responsibility
As a Systems Engineer you will be part of a global team working with development of electronics and mechanics for embedded automotive systems such as shift-by-wire systems, actuators and power electronics systems towards all major car- and truck brands. You will have an important role in the development projects, working closely with engineers from electronics, software and mechanics. You will be analysing and breaking down the customer requirements and be responsible for creating an optimal system by understanding the customer's needs. The work will involve close contact with colleagues, customers and suppliers worldwide. You will have the possibility to be part of different innovation projects aiming to develop, improve and renew our products.
Competence profile (ideal)
We are looking for you with relevant academic education in the field of electronics, mechatronics or computer science and work experience from a similar role. Experience with German OEM, requirement management, safety and project management is preferable. As a person you enjoy working in team and have the ambitions of developing yourself and inspire your colleagues. Excellent English and German skills are essential in writing and speech since the work will be done in an international environment.
As a person you are solution oriented and have a good analytic skills. It is important that you can appreciate working both independent and in a global team. Communication skills and your ability to build a network of contacts is the key to success.
